The Public Land Advocate Podcast
We are the public land trustees and this is THE podcast for those people looking to understand public land. We believe in public land usage for all people and the many activities that public land has to offer. From hiking to hunting, fishing to foraging, camping to cookouts; public land has everything that we can dream of. Yet public land is not without a myriad of issues, which is why we need to advocate for this land and its multitude of uses. This podcast will tackle the stories, the politics, the fiction, the uses, and the camaraderie that using public land brings. We are the public land trustees, users, and caretakers because once its gone and we sever our connection with nature, our soul begins to fade away.

We also debut our new segment called Public Land Enemies where we give the audience enemies of public land and why they are enemies of public land.

The Public Land Advocate - Episode 1: Why Public land matters
Monday Nov 13, 2023
Monday Nov 13, 2023
In this episode we dive into why public land is important and what it means to be a public land trustee. This land is essential to fishing, hunting, foraging, hiking, camping, over-landing, bird watching, and much more. This is an issue that regardless of the side of your political affiliation is essential to the way of American life and this resource is shrinking. States are not renewing leases, the federal government is leasing land, and as public land trustees, we are losing our tax payer funded recreational spaces. From the National Parks to your city parks, this resource is integral to many species survival and for us to enjoy the outdoors because once our connection to nature is severed, our soul starts to fade.

Who am I?
My name is John Mikolajcik and I am an outdoorsman with a passion set to protecting the publics access to outdoors activities. I am a professor by trade, a public speaker by necessity, and an advocate for us to have more space to enjoy the outdoors. This podcast was founded because when our connection to the earth is severed, our soul begins to fade. So whether you love to fish, hike, hunt, camp, forage, survive, overland, or just go for walks in the park, this podcast is for you because I am dedicated to protecting everyone's abilities to do just that. There is no correct political side to these issues and I want us to all be able to enjoy public land and what it has to offer every single one of us. If you pay taxes, this is your land, you are the Public Land Trustee and I am your advocate to increasing access to, maintaining, and finding public land.
